So once again, I have gone for a while between entries. Nothing more has happened with the sax, except for me playing it that is. However, as it turns out, we did find another instrument at Dad's house. It's a clarinet. The unusual thing is it's a metal one. It's made by King, but in digging, I find that it's a cheap student model. It's actually not in bad shape, but I haven't played it much. I'm finding I enjoy the sax more.
I've also not made any more progress on the Scheme interpreter. But I think I've come to the conclusion that to properly support tail calls, it'll be easier to do with a compiler, rather than the straight interpreter. I've also found that Inferno has an undocumented built-in module that will allow me to write a module to memory. That should let me compile on the fly into memory and just execute from there.
The big news, though, is that I've landed a job. After being laid off 3 months ago, I start as a Research & Development Technical Architect at AutoZone tomorrow.
That made it something of a celebration seeing Wicked last night. And it was an awesome show, especially Marcie Dodd who played Elphaba. I'm starting to think Wicked is officially in my top three favorite musicals, along with Phantom of the Opera and Chess.
